New training location at Lelystad Airport accredited by IL&T.

From today onwards, Aircraft Maintenance & Training School’s Part 147 has an extended location in Lelystad (NL). In addition to the locations in Hoogerheide and Hoofddorp AM&TS can now also conduct Basic Training, Part 66 Type training and perform examinations in Lelystad. The first type training course will start on Tuesday.

The location extension is the result of cooperation with AIS Flight Academy for the Part 147 Type Training Jetstream 31-32. This type training qualification is valid for categories B1 and B2. The Type Rating is the next step in the career of a basic trained aircraft maintenance engineer (Basic Training).

Accountable Manager Wim Blinkhof: “We have always had a primarily regional ambition, but in recent years we have become more active nationwide. In addition to our headquarters in Woensdrecht and satellite in Hoofddorp we welcome a third location at Lelystad Airport, where we offer basic and type training as well as Part 66 examinations.”

AIS flies with a Jetstream 32. This turboprop aircraft can fly at almost all airports in Europe and is ideal for business aviation. Engineers AIS must obtain their Type Rating for the Jetstream.
