On Tuesday 11 July the Aircraft Maintenance & Training School (AM&TS) made a contribution to VIEWB79*, the working group formed by the Association of Old Fokker Employees, which is provisionally located at the Woensdrecht air base. The purpose of the working group is to inventory and exhibit the industrial heritage of Woensdrecht.
After taking over Fokker Type Training in 2015, AM&TS received training materials and books for the Fokker Type Training 50/60,70/100,27 and 28. This also included a number of original image plates with teaching materials for the pilot training. The unique visual material was donated by AM&TS.
When the museum opens, it is not yet clear. The provisional storage and workspace for the inventory of historical material has been made available by Kol. De Boer, commander of the Woensdrecht air base. Last but not least considering the association’s cooperation with the historical Air Force Heritage of the Woensdrecht air base.
VIEWB79 stands for: Vereniging Oud Fokker Employees Industrieel Erfgoed Woensdrecht. B79 is the former NATOCODE for Woensdrecht Airport.
