Part 145: Practical Structural Repair Manual (SRM) & Damage Assessement Training

The course will give the participants the basic skills and confidence in how to use the Structural Repair Manual (SRM) to perform damage assessment, to select repair procedure, understand the repair method and design repairs within the limits of the Structural Repair Manual (SRM).

Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to use the SRM to:
Identify specific airplane parts and locations
Find allowable damage limits in the SRM.
Types of damage that can be repaired using the SRM.
Identify the differences between repair types.
Design repairs for specific damage.
Carry out a correct damage assessment and to report this in a clear, accurate and in the required manner by OEM.
Indicate an exact damage location to the Aircraft.
Be able to divide multiple damage, for example, a lightning strike involving multiple panels.
Making a damage report.
Proper handling of the paperwork
Find allowable damage limits in the AMM and SRM
Determine if composite damage is repairable by the SRM.
Identify the metal skin and composite repair processes.
Identify the composite ply materials, sequences and orientations for various composite structures.

No prerequisites required
The Aircraft Maintenance & Training School Part 147 certificat of regognition is awarded after completion of this course.
